This cheery nesting doll boasts bright colors in a set of 5 dolls that all nest together. Volga Maiden Dolls are our tribute to the toy-making villages of the Upper Volga River region and the traditional floral style they developed. Designed and produced in St. Petersburg Russia these dolls exhibit the consistent high quality for which weÂve become renowned but are offered at budget prices. We take the dolls carved in the villages themselves hand paint backgrounds and highlights at our workshop and for certain elements such as faces and flowers we reproduce original hand-painted artwork on printed vinyl and artfully apply to the dolls to make marvelous matryoshkas that will delight children and collectors.
